Sarah Terrell is the TARGIT Research Coordinator. She is a registered dietitian with a certification in Adult Weight Management. Over the past 12 years, Sarah has had experience educating children, adolescents, and adults about healthy eating and weight management strategies. She has worked in a variety of settings including private practice, hospitals and research. Before coming to UTHSC, Sarah worked in a behavioral health hospital counseling patients with eating disorders, chemical dependency and other behavior health issues. At UTHSC, she has helped develop and implement two different research studies focusing on child and adolescent weight management. Sarah is passionate about healthy eating and weight management and is thrilled to be a part of the TARGIT study team.

Christie Kerschbaum White is a lifestyle change coach for the TARGIT study. Her degree is in Marriage and Family Therapy, and she has extensive experience working with individuals, couples and families in different mental health settings. She has worked with people on issues including depression and anxiety, trauma, adoption adjustment, grief and loss, pre-marital preparation, and parenting skills. Christie has particular interests in facilitating group work and curriculum development. She has a passion for helping people creatively solve their life challenges, and is excited to be a part of the TARGIT study.

Jennifer Fournier is a TARGIT Studyís Lifestyle Change Coach. She has a B.S. Degree in Exercise and Sports Science and a Masterís Degree in Health Promotion. She has been with the University of Tennessee for over 5 years where she has also been working on another study helping the parents of at risk for overweight and overweight children lead healthier family lifestyles to prevent their children from becoming unhealthy adults. Prior to working for UTHSC, Jennifer worked as a Fitness Technician for Methodist Hospital as well as a Sport Psychology graduate assistant at the University of Memphis where she worked with many individuals, particularly athletes, concerning mental skills training. She enjoys working with a variety of people from all walks of life. She is a big advocate of leading a healthy lifestyle and enjoys motivating and helping others to do the same. She is very excited about being a part of the TARGIT Study.

Benetra Mangum-Johnson is one of the Targit Studyís Lifestyle Change Coaches. She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Social Work at Jackson State University. Benetra has worked with children and adults in private settings, hospitals, and behavioral health centers. Her research interests are in health disparities amongst special populations. Benetra is passionate about helping others manage and cope with life stressors, and is very excited to be a part of the Targit Study Team.

Jessica Uhrich is a Lifestyle Change Coach with the TARGIT study. She has an A.A.S. in Criminal Justice and a B.A. in Psychology. Jessica has been with the University of Tennessee Preventive Medicine department for over 10 years. While at UT, she has worked on research projects pertaining to obesity, geriatrics, and neurocognitive development in children.

Prior to working for UTHSC, Jessica interned at Youth Villages mentoring troubled youth with emotional, behavioral, and psychological disorders. She is very passionate about fitness and nutrition. Jessica enjoys working with people of diverse backgrounds. She hopes to encourage TARGIT participants to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
